Hancom Mobility’s CI © News1 Hancom Mobility (CEO Chang-yeol Lee), an affiliate of Hancom Group and a subsidiary of Hancom MDS, announced on the last 25th that signed a business agreement with Seongbuk-gu (district office in Seoul) for the “IoT Shared Parking Business”. This agreement was held with the attendance of major officials, including Seung-ro Lee, the head of Seongbuk-gu, and Chang-yeol Lee, CEO of Hancom Mobility at the Seongbuk-gu office building. Hancom Mobility is a company that provides total solutions for parking areas by integrating in parking area and core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution. They are targeting to build a sustainable shared parking ecosystem. As a incubated companyatthe Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, they received support from the Cohabitating Supporters Youth Startup Program and the K-Champ Lab Commercialization Program, and joined at Hancom Group in 2019. Through this agreement, Hancom Mobility IoT shared parking platform ‘Malangmalang ParkingFriends’ service will be provided to resident priority parking lots in Seongbuk-gu. Malangmalang ParkingFriends is an IoT-based shared parking service that utilizesaself-developed IoT radar sensor. It informs the available number of parking spaces in real time and provides reservation and payment functions for for a split-timed. And it can be used lower parking fee than ordinary private parking lots.

And we will actively cooperate so that the shared parking service can be quickly settled in the regional characteristics of Seongbuk-gu.” Hancom Mobility was selected as an IoT shared parking company in Seoul in 2019, and has provided services to more than 16 district offices in Seoul, including Gangnam-gu, Songpa-gu, and Jung-gu. They are also providing services through business agreements with Busan Jin-gu, Busan Jung-gu, Busan Yeonje-gu, Gwangju-si, and Gwangju Buk-gu. Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center is playing a role for the creation of a local startup ecosystem, open innovation, and investment through collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Gyeonggi Province, and KT. They promote startups and venture companies in area of specialized industries such as AI, ICT, and 5G, in addtion, small and mid-sized companies.
